Jaguar XF – The verdict

Jaguar first began as the Swallow sidecar company found by William Lyons in 1922, the Jaguar has grown in prestige and quality ever since. However, aside from being one of the worlds most recognised luxury car brands, the Jaguar has also taken lost of critism over the past few years. The Jaguar XF, released in, 2008 was sought to be the savoir of the Jaguar car – with precision engineering that laughed at the arguably shoddy workmanship of the 1970s Jaguar.

The question is – has it? The styling of this car, undeniable, well executed and although it is no Aston Martin, has a charm and style which sits well with its decadent brand name. Whether it is a ‘concept car’ however, is something slightly different. Yes, the handling is excellent and the technology involved is second to none. It is, as you would expect an executive car with excellent handling, comfortable seats and overall, a vey smooth drive. This car, however brings little in terms of new technical innovation to the market. With thew Jaguar XF, Jaguars have essentially created an excellent example of current car manufacturing, yes it is at the top of it’s game, it is not however ahead of the game..
